Ummmm, yea. I guess I find the cartoony version of me funnier cause he has no rules. THe classical(black haired) version of me is closer tied to my reality then the cartoony version. Cause the classic echos things happened outside my head(though technically classical says what I think) while the cartoony does the funny things I think about.

But in the end they're two sides of the same coin. Just different sides of my personality.

Since December 1st 2005, I have not missed one single day of this comic. That's 9 months, shit I'd have a baby by now. Fucking shocking shit. That's 270 days worth of comics, and about 85% of them are actually funny. So statistically I'm doing pretty good haha.

Not gonna lie to you guys. I was in a big hurry when I drew yesterday's comic out. I should mention I actually said it to the waiter at Golden Empress. Thought it was funny as hell, so that's why I put in. Had fun though.

Today's comic is in reference to my recording session yesterday. Chris is very professional in the sense he wants quality, not quantity and efficiency. He extremely picky and demanding, but eh I can take it I've had experience with such things (I imagine a few people are gonna wanna asks specifics but, not gonna do it). It's just very different with the go in for one day, argue, get five songs done, and just try to do the best we could. Now since we don't have to pay we're taking our time and making something relatively good.

I have a beef with the recording process. Before I record I do wish there was a genral sit down and discussion of each song and how they are going to played for the recording, not just decide while we are there. Tooo many times have that happened and it just annoys me. Cause I'm going to play it like I have since I learned it, you can't just all of the sudden change it at the last minute. Also sometimes nobody notices that they we're playing the wrong note since the begining. So I feel a sit down and a discussion and rehersal of the songs to make sure everybody is on the same page is a good idea, cause that's less time arguing over he said/you said and you can just be all buisness and get shit done.

I'M BACK BABY!!!!

Let's give a hand for Awesome Jess for filling in. I much appreciate her doing it. Also I'd like to thank Mark at Autumn Lake for making an appearance in Wednesday's comic. He's my only webcomic friend.

Well onto my absence. The Conference/Trade Show/Whatever was fun, lot's to do lot's to see. The boring parts were the listening to people talk. The interesting bits was seeing how they made everything for movies. I also got to see Monster House in 3-D hehe. Got lot's of free stuff and hung out with all my animator friends, which was good and bad haha. Didn't see much of Boston, closets was walking around the edge of Boston Common while some people were finishing eating. Otherwise, I only went between the convention center and Malden(where the hotel was).

I bet your wondering if I drew some comics about the trip. A little yes and a little no, I wrote up a few funny moments from each day but didn't draw them. So I'm eventually gonna draw them all up and post them all on one page as extra content. You'll also get a bonus comic from my away time that I forgot to upload. I should have it up around next week(when I get time to draw at work hehe).

Well I think you should come to my free show at Krunch on 28th and Reed with my band 21up. You get to see two other awesome bands Tremor and Without Parachute. We go on at 9:30, BE THERE!!!!!

I was going to hell anyway

That was Awesome Jess who filled in for yesterday. Why do you ask? Well she is practicing for next week when I go away to Boston, MA to rub elbows with fellow animators at Siggraph. YAAAY. It's nice to have a pseudo-vacation at this point.

So rather then lose my streak, she graciously volunteered to post my comics on this website while I'm gone starting Saturday. I promise to leave you with an awesome storyline to enjoy while I'm gone.

The show yesterday was okay. It coulda been better, it coulda been worse. I think the standout band was Suburban Legends. They had synchronized dance moves and closed the show with Under the Sea from the little mermaid. Westbound Train and Big D were awesome also. Voodoo Glow Skulls, I didn't even watch, I sat to the side waiting for them to get off. Catch 22, were pretty good. They did play wine stained Lips though. The show just didn't have an air of excitement, so it was kinda dull. It also ended at quarter of 11. Shocking.
