Ba Rum pum.
"I wonder, how am I supposed to feel when you're not here. 'Cause I burned every bridge I ever built when you were here. I still try holding onto silly things, I never learn. Oh why, all the possibilities I'm sure you've heard."
(That's What You Get, Paramore)
Yea in a blink in an eye the streets can be chewed up, but take forever to pave again.
"It's something that's eating your inside. It's not the food, it's not the booze. It isn't anything consumed, so is it. Becoming a problem you can't hide. So every time you thought that you were wrong you were right."
(Soulmate, No Use For A Name)
Bills + pay for stuff = broke Timmy.
"They all just laughed and said. That boy, he, that boy's got woe. Woe. He lives with woe. Woe."
(Woe, Say Anything)
Didn't want to draw one. And awhile ago my friend Fitz sent me this comic. So I thought why wait till I do a guest period.
Thanks Fitz.
Fun show. Thanks to everyone.
"It's no surprise to me I am my own worst enemy. Cuz every now and then I kick the living shit out of me. Can we forget about the the things I said when I was drunk. I didn't mean to call you that."
(My Own Worst Enemy, Lit)
Krunch tonight. Later.
"Well you ask me why I like to dance. And you ask me why I like to sing. And you ask me why I like to play. I got to get my kicks some way."
(High Voltage, AC/DC)
Yea. BYE THE WAY!!!! I should mention my band Twenty One Up will be opening up for our good friends Without Parachute at Krunch on Friday. So gather your friends and come on down. There is a cover charge of $5 but and the show starts at 9 so be there early to catch us. Also a surprise guest will be adding some additional guitar. So be there.
"I've sworn a million times never to be left again with that feeling, of hopelessness, left standing. Just nervous in the alley."
(Nervous In The Alley, Less Than Jake)
Well the loserness feeling piked when I talked to the student loan people.
"Return to the womb (new life). Lay your head to rest (mercy). To give you a piece of mind. Lay your head to rest."
(Fixation On The Darkness, Killswitch Engage)
Hungry hehe.
"It's no fun to be the man."
(The Ascent Of Stan, Ben Folds)
Happy Mother's Day to the Moms out there.
"You're the meaning in my life. You're the inspiration. You bring feeling to my life. You're the inspiration. Wanna have you near me. I wanna have you hear me sayin'. No one needs you more than I need you."
(You're the Inspiration, Chicago)
Later.
"Start over. Is no way to begin."
(Out Of Reach, The Get Up Kids)
It's true.
"So will you scatter my ashes where they won't be found? I kept my word when I swore that I would let you down. (And now that I'm gone) Try to forget me and just move on. So will you scatter my ashes where they won't be found? I kept my word and you hate me for it now, (You hate me for it now). Try to forget me and just move on."
(Calling All Cars, Senses Fail)
Later folks.
"Oh and see a man at the back as a matter of fact. His eyes are as red as the sun. And the girl in the corner let no one ignore her. Cause she thinks she's the passionate one."
(Ballroom Blitz, The Sweet)
I just like playing for people. Big or small crowds. As long as they pay attention.
See you at open mic night.
"Oh but don't bowl me over. Just wait a minute well it kinda fell apart, things get so crazy, crazy. Don't rush this baby, don't rush this baby."
(Push, Matchbox 20)
Honestly haha. I can give you 3 examples of the top of my head. 30 rock(Tina Fey), The Office(Jenna Fischer), Scrubs(Sarah Chalke). And that's just NBC on Thursday. Then again if it's a cartoon it has to be funny and have pop culture references.
It's been a white out heavy week.
Also Twenty One Up returns to open mic night at Krunch. Should be there around 10.
"Because maybe. You're gonna be the one that saves me. And after all. You're my wonderwall."
(Wonderwall, Oasis)
I tired a lot. That probably isn't good, but eh.
"I'm a fortunate son of a fortunate son. Living large on the wrong side of town. Too many friends and the fun never ends. Drinkin' and hangin' around."
(Eyes Wide Open, Goo Goo Dolls)
I thank Courtney from Marksville for planting the seed for this comic. She said something about how she wished she could bottle compliments and pats on the back. And me being witty and clever came up with above.
Later.
"I'm goin' surfin' cuz I don't like your face. I'm bailin' out because I hate the race. Of rats that run, round and round, in a maze. I'm goin' surfin', I'm goin' surfin'."
(Surf Wax America, Weezer)
The guy who said it is Sean Piefer(I think that's right) also known as High Poly. I crashed the end of semester party, which wasn't much of one, and saw all me old friends.
"Look outside at the raincoats coming, say OH"
(A-Punk, Vampire Weekend)
Originally I was gonna say "The two most beautiful words in the english language...pay day." But then I thought of the Donnie Darko quote, which led to the first two panels. As I was laying it out I thought, "Really, pay day is THE MOST beautiful phrase?" To me it just seems shallow and lame that money would be the most important thing. But it is important don't get me wrong, but it shouldn't be above all. Or something like that haha.
Also, do I get indie cred for referencing that movie?
Enjoy the long post for once, later.
"When people run in circles it's a very very, Mad world"
(Mad World, Tears For Fears)
Later folks.
"I never said I'd take this lying down. But I've crawled home from worse than this"
(Great Romances Of The 20th Century, Taking Back Sunday)
